I have dedicated my career to working with leaders and educators to build supportive and creative educational environments. I believe that our teaching environments should inspire teachers and provide engaging, meaningful learning experiences for students. Our focus will be on developing trusting relationships with our students and families, ensuring open communication and collaboration among all members of our school community. 

Our theme for the 2024-25 school year is "Connected." This theme highlights the importance of developing relationships beyond the school environment. Being connected means pursuing our interests and passions, utilizing technology effectively, and acting in ways that allow us to thrive and contribute to our community. When we are connected, we learn more about others, establish common goals, share our thoughts, see through others’ perspectives, and meet new people. This year, we aim to foster meaningful connections with our Douglas County community.

As we prepare for the start of this academic year, I want to express my enthusiasm for the journey ahead. Every new school year brings with it a sense of possibility and excitement. Our team is dedicated to making this year one of growth, accountability, and achievement. In order to plan for the district’s future, we will be sending out surveys to capture the voice of our school community. We hope to learn what we are doing well and what are our areas of growth. As with any survey, the data is only as valid and reliable as our respondents provide. Your feedback and involvement are crucial as we work together to create an environment where every student can succeed.

I am dedicated to excellence in our schools. Our district is focused on making connections with students and families to create a web of support, using valid and reliable data to make informed decisions, and improving all student programs. I am committed to ensuring that our students have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive both academically and personally. Our partnerships with parents and families will have a direct impact on student success.

As we look ahead to the first day of school and beyond, I am confident that we will make this year a memorable one. I am excited to get to know each of you and to work together to achieve our goals.
