Douglas County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Fromdahl as the new Principal of Minden Elementary School, starting with the 2024-2025 school year, pending board approval. Read the news release.
Mr. Fromdahl has been with the district since 2005, serving in various roles, most recently as the Assistant Principal at C.C. Meneley Elementary School. He holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Sierra Nevada College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Oregon State University. His credentials include a Nevada School Administrator License, as well as licenses in Elementary Education, English Language Acquisition and Development, and Middle School Mathematics.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fromdahl has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success and staff development. He has experience as an Elementary English Language Specialist for 13 years, from 2007 to 2021, a 3rd Grade Classroom Teacher, and a Title I Mathematics and Literacy Tutor. His leadership experience includes serving as the Assistant Principal at C.C. Meneley Elementary School and as the Summer School Principal for DCSD in 2022. Mr. Fromdahl was also named DCSD Teacher of the Year in 2017.
Mr. Fromdahl is enthusiastic about his new role at Minden Elementary School, stating, “I’m excited to join the dedicated and innovative staff at MES. I look forward to supporting and connecting with the students and families that make up the Rattler community.”
